10 (+1) Things to do in Atlantic City
This things to do in Atlantic City list is based on my personal opinion. These are just the must haves if you are only spending some days in the city or the beginner pack if you are visiting for a longer vacation.
#1. Paniq Escape Room in Atlantic City
The best escape rooms are located in the heart of the city, in the Tanger Outlets Atlantic City and has 4 different escape rooms each with an own exciting theme and let me tell you all 4 of them are fantastic. Definitely this is the #1 What to do in Atlantic City these days. It is also #1 at the Best things to do in Atlantic City in bad weather because you can even spend 4 hours in there if you feel the vibe and you are in the mood to try all rooms on a rainy day.
Perfect for team building in Atlantic City, bachelor party or hen party, it’s a fun thing to do for families and for couples or just hanging with friends. The price is reasonable as it is definitely gives you a better and longer experience than loosing that money in 3 minutes in the casinos. Don’t forget to download the Tanger App so maybe you can even find a good coupon for this attraction.

#2. Shopping tour at the Tanger Outlets
If you are already around because of the Escape Room, don’t forget to take a walk and buy some new pieces for your wardrobe. Don’t miss the great outlet prices, nothing can beat them.
#3. Eat up everything at the All you can eat restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel
A great all you can eat restaurant is located inside the Hard Rock Hotel with delicious food from soups to sea food, great variety of meats, sides, salads, sweets and even ice cream. You can try all kind of food from around the world (Italian, Asian etc.). The price is really reasonable for all of that. Even basic drinks included. Altough the line could be long on busy days so be prepared to wait.
#4. Take a sunset walk along the boardwalk
On the boardwalk or even better at the beach among seagulls with the ocean touching your feet. All the giant hotels looking amazing with the sunset on the background.
#5. Try your luck at the casinos
Well, basically you are in the little Las Vegas, so it wouldn’t be fair not to add this to this list. (But I guess you will do this anyway.) So yeah, give it a try, visit as many casinos as you can because each has its own vibe.
#6. Steel Pier Amusement Park
This amusement park is right next to the Hard Rock Hotel on the Boardwalk. A great way to spend time with kids; or if the adults don’t want to leave because they are on a winning streak, the kids can be sent here. You have to get on the ferris wheel: the view is spectacular, you can see all the hotels with their amazing lights at night; during the day, you can see all the way to Delaware. If you have some skills, you can even win something at the end of the day.
#7. Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
If you’ve got a little time on your hands and you like marvelous atrifacts, visit Ripley’s World. You will see and learn things that will blow your mind. What you see is entertaining, sometimes stomach-turning, and often outrageous. It will certainly have an impact on you, and you will always remember the things you saw there.
#8. New Jersey Korean War Memorial
This monument, located right in the middle of the promenade, commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives in the 4-year Korean War. One of the most beautiful Korean War memorials in the United States.
#9. Atlantic City Aquarium
If you’re spending several days in Atlantic City and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos and the Boardwalk, this is the place for you. Peaceful and very spectacular, it is a fun activity for the whole family. Free of charge for children under 3.
#10. Absecon Lighthouse
Built in 1857, the lighthouse is one of the oldest buildings that still stand in the city. It is the third tallest such tower in the United States. It played an important role in World War II. If you like old buildings, go and climb the 240 steps that take you to the top of the lighthouse.
+1 Check all the amazing hotels
Do not just stick around your hotel there are much more to explore. Tropicana, Hard Rock, Borgata and my personal favorite is the newly renovated Ceasars. They all have their special atmosphere. You need to be there to feel it.
